"Girls, Girls, Girls", 1962, Elvis Presley, Laurel Goodwin, Stella Stevens. Shot in Hawaii (why mess with a winning formula -yet they did) with local extras, but was not actually meant to be Hawaii, but instead, Louisiana, with Elvis as a fishing boat pilot. However, the "Girls" part of the Presley movie formula was indeed very successful and among the songs from the film is the classic "Return To Sender". While this was Elvis's fourth film, it would never equal the success he had with "Blue Hawaii". One might suggest that "Girls" AND "Hawaii" was an even better movie formula- (See "Surf More"). |
